Can I use a stretchy wrap after a cesarean?
Absolutely. The wrap and baby sits high above your incision so it will be one of the more comfortable options while you recover from birth and the major surgery of a cesarean section. Our recommendation is to start by wearing your baby for a short amount of time and gradually increase the time you wear your baby. This will ensure your body gets used to baby wearing in a gentle way and you’re not overstraining any muscles that are still recovering from surgery. Always consult your doctor, LMC, or pelvic physiotherapist if you’re unsure or experiencing any pain that doesn’t go away when babywearing.

To get the most life out of your wrap, we recommend washing your wrap on a cold gentle or delicate cycle and laying it on a washing rack to dry. You can also tumble dry your wrap on low and iron it on a warm setting.
Can I wear my baby facing forwards or on my back in a wrap?
No. Our Little Moose stretchy wraps are only intended for baby’s to be worn facing inwards towards the wearer.

In view at all times. You should be able to see baby’s face at all times with a glance down.
C - Close enough to kiss. Baby should be as close to your chin as possible so that you can easily give them a kiss.
K - Keep the chin off the chest. Ensure there is space between your baby’s chin and their chest so that their airways remain open at all times.
S - Supported spine. Baby’s entire spine is supported in an upright, natural ‘C curve’ position with their tummy and chest towards the wearer.
How can I keep my baby’s hips safe while I wear them in my wrap?
When you wear your baby in your wrap, you want to make sure their hips are always kept in a safe position. You can ensure this by creating a deep squat or ‘M’ shape with their legs. To do this, you’ll want to ensure baby’s bottom is lower than their knees and and that their legs are turned out at the hip joint.
